Privacy policy

At Writability, we’re committed to maintaining the privacy, trust and confidence of our visitors and clients. This policy explains what happens to any personal data that you provide to us, or that we collect from you while you visit our site and how we use cookies on this website. We do update this policy from time to time so please do review this notice regularly.

In running and maintaining our business, we may collect and process the following data about you:

Website cookies

A cookie is a small text file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once added, the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.

We use cookies to offer social media services and applications that allow users to share content on the Internet more easily. We also use cookies to recognise repeat users and identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyse data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We may compile aggregated data, but these statistics will include no information personally identifying you. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes.

Some of our cookies are strictly necessary as they allow the website to perform key functions, such as keeping track of what you write on our online forms. These cookies are essential to perform the action a user has requested, and your use of the website signifies your consent for us to implement these necessary cookies. The writability.co.uk website (in common with most other websites) will not work without these cookies.

Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. This can be done within the ‘settings’ section of your computer. For more information please read the advice at AboutCookies.org

Google Analytics

When someone visits writability.co.uk we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
